Cheers, Vinny.
They've already rescued a woman who went into the water to rescue her dog - don't ask about the dog as I don't know.
The other 2 missing people - one's a kayaker (Who in their right minds would be on the river in this?) and the other an unknown person several miles down river. Hope they find them safe.
UPDATE about the dog
It is thought that the lady entered the water after her dog fell into the water. Although obviously cold and wet both appeared in good spirits and were taken for medical checks.
I'm delighted the dog appeared in good spirits!!

Morning, wild yesterday but the wind has gone but it’s still raining. Making chutney with the windfall apples, love the smell in the house when making chutney!
Have a great day all, hope you didn’t suffer too much with Storm Francis.

I've been collecting windfall apples too - just going to cook them to go in the freezer for my winter breakfasts. I've done one pan-full but lots more to do.
The peeler/corer/slicer gadget is worth its weight in gold at these times.

Evening all.
I've been to the allotment this morning and dug up a large bag of spuds. Surprisingly there was no slug damage so that was a bonus.
I dug over the area to make sure I hadn't missed any and semi prepared the soil for a follow on crop.(yet to be decided)
My Daughter arrived at home with a large bag of apples she had been given. I fancy giving Brens? Indian apple chutney a go.

Afternoon all. Sitting here feeling pretty smug as Sunday dinner prepared and all veg came from allotment. I have finally cracked the Yorkie pudding problems and can just about guarantee success each time.
Even had time to freeze a couple of portions of French beans with loads more to come......if it would only stop raining.
Hope you all have a good day and TTFN.

Been a little bit busier than usual. The normal visit to the elderlies next door for their shopping list for tomorrow. Then off to Wickes for board and wood for OH to reroof the shed. Lidl's for some compost, Tescos for spices to make mango chutney - I found a tin of mango pulp at the back of the pantry, it was even in date, which was a surprise . Can't really share the results on the forum as the only ingredient likely to be homegrown are the onions.
