Tues is outing day. The three of us (the Coven on Whatsapp) went to Andover to trawl the charity shops and have a bite to eat for lunch.
Many times I don't buy a thing, today was different. A very pretty navy blue pattered long sleeve blouse for me, £4.50. A sweatshirt for P for the garden £3, the existing one is very much mended and patched, so much so it has a 'Frankenstein' look about it. A couple of large clip seal 'kilner' jars £2 ea and various Xmas treats in Asda. A good day.

IN today came 2 carrier bags of cookery books - some of which I'll pass on, others I'll peruse seeking inspiration. Several Veggie books in there. Big Grin
Also IN a bag of out-of-date food - tins of soup,& tomatoes, jars of pasta sauce, lasagne pasta sheets, brandy sauce and custard, peri peri sauce, Gravy browning (I'd forgotten there was such a thing!), flour, pot noodles.

IN came more fishy dog treats including some dental chews that seem to be made from compressed fish skin! The dogs like them.

The only 'chews' Kato gets are the dried chicken breasts from Home Bargains. No additives, he likes them and he gets cooked and boned chicken thighs in his dinner with Beta puppy mix three times a day. He's had the Beta all his life and seems to thrive on it so I havent changed it. I've tried him with other chews but he either doesn't like them or they make him sick, so I have just stuck with the dried chicken breasts.

My lot eat anything that's going!. They have 2 meals a day, one of which is raw food (if I have any) and some sort of biscuit. The other meal may be tinned meat or whatever is around, its YS sausages at the moment. They love raw fruit and veg - especially carrots. The vet recommended giving them carrots instead of dental sticks and I was doing them that, anyway.

I've been to the Prawn lady again. Big Grin Her mum had emptied her freezer and there had been a Food delivery too.
A mixed bag as usual - some a little challenging!!
Five litres of milk, 3 Yeo Valley yogurts, 16 Milky bar mousse pots, cheesecake, Tomato & mozzarella salad, Falafels, 3 bags of carrot sticks, 3 bags of green beans, cauli & broccoli mix, huge bag of curly kale, 4 big leeks, 2 red peppers, radishes, baby plum tomatoes, Caesar salad dressing, 2 small tubs of Truffle butter, a chicken pastie and a Starbucks "No chicken" wrap which has been frozen - not sure how edible that will be. A tray of 8 cupcakes........and
.......2 Roast beef knuckles for dogs. They're massive. I gave one to Ted and he can hardly carry it around. He's buried it in his bed and he's lying beside it grumbling to himself. The other 2 aren't interested in taking it from him. I left the shrink wrapped one outside on the table and within minutes there was a magpie having a go at it!
