2024 seeds and stuff I’ve bought acquired today

I've ordered a thornless Columbia Star from Roots . It was a toss up between that or Black Beaute from Chris Bowers. Settled on CS because I couldn't find a brix rating for BB, or for that matter any other supplier or info. Fearing that Black Beaute was a form of Black Butte and not very sweet.

I've not ordered from Roots or Chris Bowers before, not in the last 20 years anyway. I don't buy many perennial plants either online or at garden centres. I thought Chris Bowers were quite well respected in the fruit world but then again so is T&M among non gardeners nuff said.

I've ordered seeds of ten perennials, a mixture of some old favourites and some new ones to try:

Acaena saccaticupula (blue goose leaf)
Campanula latifolia (giant bellflower)
Centaurea nigra (common knapweed)
Cephalaria gigantea (giant scabious)
Eryngium planum (blue eryngo)
Lysimachia ephemerum (willow-leaved loosestrife)
Rodgersia pinnata (featherleaf rodgersia)
Sanguisorba canadensis (white burnet)
Scabiosa columbaria subsp. ochroleuca (pale yellow scabious)
Silene flos-cuculi (ragged robin)

If they all grow I'm going to have to dig up more lawn.

Getting my head around the pronunciation of that lot is difficult enough without the growing of them.
