Five bags of baby spinach leaves, a dozen free range eggs, 4 pints of milk, Pecorino romano cheese, 6 hardboiled eggs (from the Morries meal deals), pomegranate seeds, avocado x2, coleslaw x 2 and a catering size tin of baked beans (2.62 kgs)!!
OUT goes a bundle of old UK maps. The South Scotland one only had half of Mull on it (SC's half) so not much use really.

Where does the Prawn Lady get all her stuff is she Olio?
No, not Olio, she buys a bag of food from a company called GoPuff and pays about £10/£20 for it. She does this 3 times a week - she has 5 kids and her husband left her so she has lots of mouths to feed on not much money. Most of the food is from Morries with an almost expired use by date and its delivered to her late night. Luckily for me, her kids are picky eaters - she says the only veg they'll eat are peas!. None of them like prawns and they don't seem to like cheese either. She doesn't like food waste and knows that I'll use everything she doesn't want. Suits me fine!!
I forgot to add the Creme Caramel to  the list of stuff she gave me today - just going to eat one or two. Big Grin
Just downloaded the GoPuff app, some interesting swag in the reduced section! Cool

I think she orders the Last Chance bags. They don't deliver to my house so there's no point me ordering. Tempting though it is. I think she has something called Fam membership that gives her free delivery but not certain.

IN today came 4 sourdough ciabatta loaves and some oat topped rolls.
Also 2 refill packs for an EcoEgg laundry thing. Just need to find someone giving away an EcoEgg now and I'll be set up for free washing for 100+ loads.

That didn't take long! I've just been offered an EcoEgg and some more refills for it. Hope it works!

Veggie let us know how you get on with the Egg I've looked at reviews and they seem rather a mixed lot.

Bren, I asked the lady who gave me the egg and 4 boxes of refills (200 washes) why she didn't use it. She said she bought them cheap in Morries, the refills were 50p and the egg was about £2.50. I would have been tempted at that price too.
Anyway, she used it a few times but just drifted back to what she'd always used. The Egg has the remains of what she used in it. Its hard to tell how much they've been used. I'm not sure how you keep track of the number of washes they've been used for, or know when to replace them. Do they disintegrate or discolour, I need to find out more!

I tried them many moons ago when they first came out. Back then they disintegrated after time and you replaced them. I didn’t really get on well with them. I don’t think they were really designed for very dirty ( gardening/ shepherding) clothes. I think they would have been fine for an office dweller. And the fragrance was very subtle and again not great for our clothes. Hopefully they’ve improved since then.

According to Youtube etc. the white "crystals" disintegrate when washing (after 50 washes), the black ones are there to agitate the white ones so they last. The Egg is topped up when the contents reduce to half full.

More Free food from the Prawn lady - 8 strawberry yogurts, 6 pints of milk, 5 avocados, 2 packs of pork mince, 3 eggs (the other 3 in the box were cracked = the dogs don't mind!), egg mayonnaise, couscous salad, creme caramel, crumpets, a steak pie & lots of bags of cut herbs - coriander (grown in Spain), parsley (Norfolk) basil (Lincolnshire) and mint (Kenya). Surely they could source the coriander & mint in the UK!

OUT went two large cardboard boxes and packing paper for someone moving. Once again, I got the best side of the swap. Big Grin
