None scented sweet peas ! I didn’t know you could get none scented. It’s not right .
They still look quite pretty though.

Perennial sweet peas are unscented and its cheating to call them "sweet" in my view.

When buying sweet peas, I always check that it says either 'fragrant', 'scented', or best of all 'highly scented' on the packet. Old fashioned, heirloom and Spencer varieties are generally scented, but a lot of the modern varieties have little or no scent. Scent is the whole essence of a sweet pea, so to my mind breeding varieties without scent is a pointless exercise.

I knew they weren’t our wild sweet peas, but they are wild sweet peas

I have grown the perennial unscented this year.... sweet peas indoors give me a migraine. I really cannot stand the smell they can be too overpowering... so one smelly one in a bunch with non scented works better for me.

This one went to the cafe this morning.
It sits next to a little sign encouraging people to stop at my barrow on the way out of the village. Which is a really lovely. I certainly didn’t ask for any sort of promotion.

Today’s bunch of flowers for the cafe. Definitely not what you would call a conventional selection or colour scheme. Which is fine by me. It may not be liked. But it’ll be noticed.

Today’s jam jar flower posy is big and bold. Colour scheme is a little on the loud side, but I don’t mind that.
This on is on my barrow , not at the shop this week.
