Cut Flowers - MartinH - 31-05-2020 I'm sure there's already a thread somewhere, but I can't find it. Anyway, here's what I cut this morning: Sweet peas and Gillenia. [attachment=278] RE: Cut Flowers - Veggie - 31-05-2020 There's a thread now, Martin!! They're beautiful - I forgot to sow any sweetpeas. RE: Cut Flowers - Can the Man - 31-05-2020 I love your flowers Martin, but the picture behind them on the wall reminds me of the door into the secret garden from the old movie or tv series, very nice. RE: Cut Flowers - Moth - 01-06-2020 Peony. I should know it's name but can't remember ATM. It's done really well because of the lack of rain. Usually all the secondary buds get that thing where the wet outer sepals dry too hard and the bud can't open. (There's a name for that too, which I can't remember - I shall have to put the turnip head back in the cupboard and get my thinking head on ) [attachment=286] RE: Cut Flowers - doublyjonah - 04-06-2020 [attachment=360] Ammi, rose, sweet pea. Cheerful color clash RE: Cut Flowers - doublyjonah - 10-06-2020 More lovely flowers. Went for the big vases this time [attachment=434] Roses, daisies, sweet peas, ammi, peony, pansies, foxgloves, cornflowers (the foliage of which I originally mistook for carnation!), spirea. RE: Cut Flowers - Scarlet - 18-06-2020 Here's mine today - just picked a snapdragon that had fallen over in the rain so added a couple more to fill my bud vase. Sweet peas - picked two days ago still looking gorgeous. RE: Cut Flowers - doublyjonah - 26-06-2020 More little posies [attachment=580] Rogue sweet pea (came in a named pack of purple seed), feverfew, and ammi [attachment=581] Cornflowers, daisies, and achillea RE: Cut Flowers - doublyjonah - 07-07-2020 [attachment=688] Scabiosa is finally in bloom! I started it from seed last fall in the GH and have been waiting very impatiently. Accompanied by ammi, feverfew, sweet pea, and oregano. RE: Cut Flowers - Scarlet - 07-07-2020 Lovely! That scabious is a stunner - do you know what variety it is? Is it an annual or perennial? |
