Veronica gentianoides ?  This thing.

   

It has recently finished flowering. Lots of forget me not type and colour flowers on the tall stems. I’m guessing it’s a spready / ground cover plant.

Took some pipings from cottage pinks that were very woody, before digging up the parent and composting. Trying to weed soil that has set as hard as concrete. Dare I say it, I want some rain.

Spent some time in and around Bed 10. Remember that one? It had a plum tree (since cut down but suckering like crazy) and lots of lavender. Unfortunately, its been overrun by the new thugs - red campion and dog daisy. The path around the bed has disappeared and its merged with the adjacent beds. I set myself a target of being able to walk around the bed on all sides. Didn't quite manage it today but should finish it tomorrow.

Built a frame for CLB and sweetcorn and planted them. Surrounded them with fleece & copper pipe to help keep slugs off.

Potted up some cucumber seedlings. Planted a few more squash - not sure what they are, just the leftovers.
Sowed some Honey Bear baby pumpkins (for their seeds).

Last few days I've potted on lettuce, cut the top of a floppy dying Beth Alpha cuc hopefully the top will root in water. Then this morning I've been cutting tops of basil plants to encourage them to bush out, tops are also in water.
Mostly its been watering and feeding lately.

Dead headed the garden. Mostly roses & lupins. Sieved some used compost. Pricked out Greek basil. Sorted some seeds out for the neighbours. Turns out I have a real issue with sharing salad seeds   .

More weeding and grass pulling around Bed 10 as its shaded by the big oak tree, and I needed all the shade I could find today.
