Just been to check on him/her. It didn’t make it. We tried. The little thing was warm and comfortable in its last few hours. I’ll plant something special on top of it tomorrow when I bury it.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

I don’t think the family will be too far away. I’ve seen an adult around a few times recently. Don’t know what happened to this little one.

Just buried the little fella on a sheep fleece bed , under a flowering currant. In my latest cottage garden bed.
