No idea, but if they could cross they probably have done by now as the Elephant garlic and perennial leeks have been in the garden for years. There are always some ordinary leeks and spring onions that I leave to flower and self seed too. Can't say I've noticed anything unusual though.

I've just eaten 2 Elephant garlic scapes in a potato and apple mint frittata thing, Its given me hiccups. Big Grin

I remember the two of us buying different coloured debri netting to see what difference it meant to growth. Big Grin I see he came to the same conclusion as I,that blue gave the best general growth characteristics.

Don't think I would fancy leek scapes unless they were from very small leeks as they appear to have a 'caulky' centre to them. Cry Sam applies to my elephant garlic which is a similar size to a leek and fairly tasteless at best.
