Ours gets used a lot, mainly for re-sealing opened bags from fridge or freezer.
Like we had crumpets for breakfast this morning, so after opening the packet and taking four out I could just re-seal the packet and put it back in the fridge.
Same for the bag of sausages from last night's supper.
We don't use it for sauces, stews and the like, they go in re-usable plastic boxes.

I'm seriously considering getting one. Any tips what to look out for?

No good asking me - my priority was FREE. I know Aldi/Lidl have them in quite often.

I can’t help I can’t even remember what make mine is. It’s been so long since I’ve seen it  Confused .
I know it wasn’t a cheap, cheap  one. Because we had one of them and it didn’t last very long.

We have had a few but the Andrew James models seem to last longer than others.

We replaced ours last year with an Amazon Basics model. It works just fine.

I hope you cook that salmon from frozen and don't let it defrost first ?

Thanks Martin, I'll put that one on the list. Where do you source new bags?

I usually get the rolls then you can make what ever size bags you like. A bit of shopping around is advisable the prices vary massively. I usually get them from Amazon or eBay.
Black Friday deals is a good time to look for stocking up.
