Cleared the Bijou mangetout out of GH2, helped by the dogs who love eating peas. Managed to salvage a bowlful for myself. This afternoon I planted 3 rows of sprouting potatoes in the middle of the old chicken run. Fingers crossed they like it there.

I finished filling the first raised bed in the polytunnel. Then covered it until I’m ready to plant up.I filled 2 hanging baskets ready for my tomatoes. Started filling the double hight fish box (used to be the Dorset naga pot ). That’s now going to be my ornamental lily bed/ pot.

		Mowed the lawn.
Tied in the mangetout and sweet peas to help them climb. It may be my imagination, but I find that they shoot up once they're tied in.
Thinned out the microscopic nicotiana seedlings using tweezers.
Optimistically sowed some melons and watermelons indoors.     |

Came home yesterday, broad beans are well, gh tenders thriving. I'm having nightmares about the load of work needed to catch up, now the weather has dried the ground a bit.

Pulled up lots of Forget me nots, then planted some Winter savoury plants I'd done from cuttings.

Filled second bed in polytunnel and covered until ready for planting.Gave the herb pots a wood chip dressing. Hopefully prevent some weeds.
Finished filling the double hight fish box and planted the lilies in it.
Emptied all last year’s chilli pots and refilled 3 of them.
Potted on all the cuttings I took last autumn. That survived the winter.
Put up the bit of ornate metal fencing I found earlier in the week.
Steamed the peonies. Ready for when they need them.
Off to make rhubarb & apple crumble now

Set up my "new" wormery with some worms that I "borrowed" from another bin.Weeded the "old pond" which is completely dry now. Hope the tadpoles have survived.
 Planted some sweet peas.
Potted up a cucumber and filled some modules ready to plant more seeds.
