Looking after a friend’s cats, chickens, plants (inside and out) and stick insect eggs. For a month. They said help yourself to anything in the fridge that will go off and take all the eggs. I came home with 3 blocks of cheddar, Brie, mozzarella, Parmesan , mascarpone, Ham, tomatoes, avocados and 3 and a half dozen eggs!
Out went a dozen eggs to the people in the pizza van .

Just been to church. My prayers for lots of fruit and veg have been answered.
Beetroot, French beans x 2 bags, babyleaf & rocket salad x 2, red cabbage, asparagus, sweet potatoes, onions, red and white salad onions, blueberries, grapes, lemons, limes, samphire, okra, turmeric and 12 avocados.
Apparently, Asda gave them 2 big crates of avocados last night. My growing experiment will soon begin!
Also going to try growing turmeric and blueberries.
Forgot to add that I also had some Labneh, mixed grain salads and sourdough bread.

Goodness, I would never leave food behind for other people, maybe it's because I'm tight

Most people that leave food also leave the place in a mess. So I really don’t mind not getting food. Usually it’s not as good as steak. More likely half a box of cornflakes and the last couple of biscuits in a packet ( and very rarely chocolate ones! ). The most common things left are part bags of frozen peas. Which I’m happy to give a home to. Very rare I have to buy peas. other common things left , half tubs of vanilla ice cream. I always give that to whoever I’m working with. Nasty stuff. The other really common thing left is ice cubes! Which I leave where they are until the freeze gets so full of them I throw them out. I find the buying of ice cubes mind blowing!! It just baffles me. Why buy frozen water??? Why do you need 2kg of them?!
then there’s the real dirty buggers that leave left overs of a half eaten meal on a plate in the fridge or if we’re really lucky ! Still in the pan on the worktop. Unsurprisingly this gets binned while turning the air blue!

Buying ice cubes!? No like you, I can't understand that, it's a bit like buying frozen mash, a bit pointless.

Some very Random INs today
Bulgur wheat, candle wicks, a washing up bowl with a drainer in the bottom of it and one of the pedal exercise thingies.
OUT went a mix of plants, including a not very giant pumpkin!!
