Oh, it depends on your writing style then. Mine would be a different grouping:
1) CILMNOSUVWZ
2) ABDGJPQRTXY
3) EFHK
Does anyone write a capital A using more than 2 strokes??
And how come the O is on the same line as B and D?

Looks like its time to end this puzzle!
The classification is by the number of "ends" each letter has.
For example, BDO don't have any "ends"
P has one.
HKX have 4.
