Stirred compost as P cut some grass. Potted up some chitted sweetcorn into root trainers. Rain then stopped outside play. Over lunch wrote some 3rd birthday competition waffle.

Pricked out foxglove seedlings. Mulched bed 1 with 3 and half plastic trug/bucket loads of wood chip.
Took down temporary fencing. Rebuild the picnic table.

I am moving my chilli seedlings from the house to the poly tunnel every morning and back in the evening to give them the benefit of more day light than sitting on a window sill.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Its rained most of the day - the tadpoles were pleased but I wasn't. Did a bit of pottering in the GH - that's all.

Nice sunny day here so did some weeding, put up a support of bamboo canes and twine and planted out the Rosakrone peas.
Potted on some sweet and hot peppers.

Earthed up and covered my outdoor potatoes with a quadruple layer of debris netting. Moved my tubs of potatoes into the garage. Turned on the heated prop bases in the greenhouse, with tender stuff on them. Moved the rest of the tender stuff (beans, morning glories, Dahlias) into the garage for the night.
It can all come back out again in the morning

Did your frost prevention pay off Mark?

Who?
I think so. All the pots and tubs are fine. I'll have to see what the potatoes are like when they push through the light covering of soil, but there was only a light dusting of frost on the debris netting so I'm hopeful.
