I have an idea.
I'm hoping to send the seed swap seeds to you next week - just need to pack them now - so I may use my selection as an Advent calendar - picking one packet a day to sow - although I won't sow any tomatoes or beans. Just flowers - there are lots.

No advent calendar here but if I was minded I could buy a tub of chocs, and have one each day. I've always quite liked the idea of little numbered pockets on a sheet of fabric. For kids they would be filled with choccy, but for Veggie I'd fill them with seeds

Not really thought this out but what about doing the opposite by putting something into a calendar/box each day.

There are a few charities that suggest you do that, Bren. Even give you a list of suitable items to buy for the box.

I may make a wreath/or a Christmas dec to sell on my gate, one a day seems a good target for me - if they dont sell, I will give to friends as xmas gifts. First one is already planned as a gift to someone who has bought flowers from me most weeks in the summer ( never met her before doing my flower bunches) ...but she kindly messaged me last week to say she has just had a conifer tree cut down and could I use the foliage.

I have an Advent Calendar.
Went to the Church Free Food market today and they gave me a Fair Trade one (with chocolate).

You're not to peek at the 25th in advance like I used to, but in my day there was no chocolate.

I don't remember ever having an Advent Calendar before, not even when I was a nipper. Perhaps that's why I'm always trying to create my own little surprises.

I have an Accidental Alphabetical Advent Calendar.
On the 1st I planted some Avocado stones.
On the 3rd (yes I know, what about the 2nd -- be patient) I picked up a mud+bloom kids gardening box containing Basil seeds for microgreens and 4 Crocus bulbs. I'm going to sow Basil as a belated 2nd day and Crocus for the 3rd. Tomorrow (4th) I'll plant Daffodils. Sorted,
