Its the perfect weather for a big bowl of soup. Please share your Soup ideas with us.

I make enough for several days at a time,  eat it fresh for 2 or 3 days and freeze the rest.  My recipe doesn't exist - just a selection of whatever is lying around is bunged in the pressure cooker. It always taste OK, whatever is in it.

My soup of the week is Pumpkin, Carrot, fresh ginger and Baked beans.

Very boring I know but my favourite is Leek & Potato. Cool The list of ingredients is in the name and chopped up and boiled together with a chicken or veggie oxo cube. I like to add a dollop of fresh cream in the bowl when I serve it. So quick and easy to make I like to make small amounts fresh each time, only enough for a couple of bowls full does me. I really like freshly made soup. I’ve stopped making big batches for the freezer. It’s never as good.
I’ve got lots of favourites

My soups never have a recipe

Today's soup was the veg bed and juice from the slow cooked lamb whizzed up with the addition of some curry powder and cumin, a sort of mulligatawny

A spring and summer favourite is julienne veg in chicken stock with lemon balm.

I make soup, but almost always potato is the main ingredient along with home made chicken stock, then topped up with whatever veggies I have at hand. I usually bung in whatever needs using up to be honest. I like soup for lunch - it fills me up and it's often healthy and slimming. Win win Smile

On Monday I found a mushroom that weighed a whopping 13 ounces (375g), plus its baby brother at 7.5 ounces (212g), so you can guess what my soup of the week is Big GrinBig Grin

Soup of the week is Split pea, carrot, red onion and parsley. Should be enough for a few days' lunches.
