Cheese on toast for tea. Helen got me a lobster for my 40th birthday, never had one since! Years ago, I bought a live lobster in Abergavenny market and drove the 40 or so miles home with it on the passenger seat beside me. It was walking around in the box and I kept talking to it. By the time I reached home, it had become a pet with a name and I couldn't cook it. MY OH had to do it. I've never eaten lobster since.

Similar thing happened to me wth a cock pheasant which I inadverdantly hit with the car. Thinking it was dead I put it in the back of the car intending to pluck and cook it when i got home. This happened about 15 mile away from where I live and when I got to about 5 mile from home I looked in my rear view mirror and spotted a pheasant sitting up and looking at me!
When I got home I told Helen what had happened and she said it's mate would be looking for it and I had to take it back! She made me jump in the car with her and take it back to the verge close to where I had hit it.

Pesto pasta with onions and chicken I had cooked off for Kato! I cooked him some more chicken as he was giving me evil eyes when I ate his chicken!

Ate some Carosello - too sweet to be a cucumber, not sweet enough to be a melon. The jury's out on this one.
