I nearly stood on this aesculapian this afternoon - they're very relaxed snakes and not venemous!
Sadly I found the aesculapian dead in the garden this afternoon, very close to where I first saw it. Althouh it had some injuries, I suspect it may have starved or be starving, as it was very thin, and pretty sluggish.

There seem to be more wasps about this year? I got stung 3 times yesterday- one sting me, I whacked it and it disappeared... I went in to put some cream on it and felt something in my top. He had me another 2 times before I got it out!
I got stung last week as well by both a wasp and a bee on the same day!
