I'm starting all the hardy annuals now- cornflowers, snapdragons, orlaya, lavatera, daucus, ammi, calendula etc
I will hedge my bets, some will be planted out before the frosts, some stay in the GH. Often by Jan they are big enough to withstand the cold and they get planted out - depends on what the weather is like.
I'm doing snapdragons this evening and some poppies

Sounds like I need to get a move on and rummage through the flower seed box.

Salad Rocket in the GH around the tomato pots so that when the toms come out, there'll still be stuff growing. Previously sown lettuce and Holy Basil. Some spinach and chard have self seeded from last winter but I'll be sowing more.
Plenty of baby tomato plants too!!

Carrots in GH2, where the cucumbers were.
Kohl rabi in a Supermarket box. Never grown it before but I had the seeds! Probably too late but you can eat the leaves, even if the bulb doesn't grow.

Finally remembered to sow some April cabbage seeds. Also sown the poppy seeds I collected yesterday.
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

Sown some All Year Round and Snowball cauliflowers. Old seeds but I still have time to sow fresher ones if these don't germinate.

Sown Hailstone radish in GH2, Eskimo carrots in GH3 and scattered all the really old, out of date, winter radish seeds in the big veg plot where, self seeded radish, kale and landcress are sprouting.

Sowed dill in small pots because I love it - but I suppose I’ll have to keep it indoors on the windowsill,
Have only ever had it outside in the garden - so not sure if it’s going to work.

I planted my onion sets (50 mixed yellow, white, and red onions) and some saffron crocuses. I noticed some self seeded radishes and crushed some seed pods I was clearing on the hope of getting some more. Yesterday, I sowed some April cabbages.
Mostly, my garden time this week has been clearing and tidying, but hopefully I'll be able to get some more seeds sown next weekend. I'll have more space once my beans, tomatillos, and tomatoes are done.
Formerly self-contained, but expanding my gardening horizons beyond pots!
