..........what I sowed today in 2022
Ailsa Craig & Red Barron onionsSmile
I’ve sown
Cedonella , gaillardia, sea holly, alstroemeria, hawthorn & grey dogwood.
Today I sowed some sweet pea seeds: four varieties that didn't come up in my autumn sowing.
The seeds are quite old, because I didn't succeed in saving any the last couple of years. This is probably their last chance.
Today I sowed some more old seeds, this time Heteropappus meyendorfii "Blue Knoll".
I'm not hopeful, the first half of the packet did nothing when I tried them a couple of years ago. But you never know!
Sunday and yesterday I sowed some onion seeds they were Spanish Blanco seeds I got in the Canary Islands 2 years ago, I grew a few of them last year and they were very tasty, also planted some winter jewel cabbage seeds and transplanted out some cabbage plants. Also moved some strawberry plants. Oh yea I planted some bolthardy beetroot seeds.
Today I sowed some Early Jalapeno. Two little pots, three seeds in each, with the idea that I'll keep the strongest one in each pot if more than one grows.
Spring is coming, eventually.
Today it was too cold to do anything outside, so I sowed some peppers, Californian Wonder, in pots. I can't wait for spring!
Today my granddaughter came round, so we sowed some more pepper seeds, King Of The North, in pots.
It's not feeling very springlike today.
Today I sowed some lettuce, "Marvel Of 4 Seasons". Just a few seeds in some small modules, more in hope than expectation.
