Thread brought on by a mention in another thread of growing spring cabbage over winter in greenhouse. Personally I have grown garlic, broad beans and cabbages over winter in the past.
I need some inspiration (and please don't say boring lettuce) for what to grow in a greenhouse with lots of panes of glass missing over winter this year!

Took me a while to understand your accent.
I always grow Bijou mangetout, rocket, spinach and chard, boring lettuce (sorry but I had to say it), landcress and whatever oriental leaves decide to self seed,,,,,,,and purple kale. I have a pot of CFBs but don't know how successful they'll be overwinter.
Physalis, early strawberries (I hope). Spring onions, carrots and beetroot. Parsley and a pot of mint. I'm sure there's more.

Not a lot, every experiment that V encouraged me into in the last couple of years has failed miserably due to frost or neglect. I'm losing heart.

You could try carrots, calabrese and cauliflower sown in October. They should be ready in May or earlier. Overwintering onions will also be ready earlier under cover.
