I've just resurrected a spiralizer that I bought, yellow stickered in Morries several years ago and turned 3 courgettes into "courgetti". Not sure what I'll do with them now! I dropped a handful in the deep fryer with a piece of yellow sticker breadcrumbed pollack and some battered onion rings.
The courgettes tasted like the fried seaweed you have with Chinese meal or finely sliced onions. Interesting.
As you can tell, I'm not on a low-fat diet.

Chipper takeaway as we went to out granddaughter’s graduation from preschool, she’s 41/2 years old and the preschool had a party for the kids graduating and their parents and grandparents. It was great fun, 6:30 to 8:00, then we had to drive home so decided fish and chips from the chippers was best bet.

Last night was chipotle marinated steak with chips.
Tonight is pizza night. I’m having buffalo mozzarella, tomato & basil.

Fishy Friday again! I got two yellow stickered kippers for 16p each at Morries last night so along with some yellow stickered bream from the freezer and a bit of salad that should do nicely.
Helen would never let me have kippers as they tended to stink the house out!

Courgette, pea and mint fritters, very loosely based on a Hodmedod's recipe https://hodmedods.co.uk/blogs/recipes/co...t-fritters
I mixed some spirallized courgettes with two of Mrs Bronwen Brownhen's eggs and some mint sauce. Stirred in enough ground marrowfat pea flour to bind it all together and fried it in dollops.
Eaten with homegrown tomatoes.
Apart from the pea flour which came in a Hodmedod's Mystery box, everything was from the garden.

Sweetcorn ribs (Waitrose name for corn cobs cut into 4 quarters lengthwise) with a "feta, chilli and coriander mayonnaise" and a lime wedge (free) served with the remainder of the spiralized courgettes (from the garden shop).
The mayonnaise was a bit too "chilli" for me but the rest of it was OK. Still picking bits of corn out of my teeth.
