Cut Flowers

I'm sure there's already a thread somewhere, but I can't find it.

Anyway, here's what I cut this morning: Sweet peas and Gillenia.

They're beautiful - I forgot to sow any sweetpeas. 

I love your flowers Martin, but the picture behind them on the wall reminds me of the door into the secret garden from the old movie or tv series, very nice.

Peony. I should know it's name but can't remember ATM. It's done really well because of the lack of rain. 

Usually all the secondary buds get that thing where the wet outer sepals dry too hard and the bud can't open. (There's a name for that too, which I can't remember - I shall have to put the turnip head back in the cupboard and get my thinking head on  )

More lovely flowers. Went for the big vases this time

   

Roses, daisies, sweet peas, ammi, peony, pansies, foxgloves, cornflowers (the foliage of which I originally mistook for carnation!), spirea.

Here's mine today - just picked a snapdragon that had fallen over in the rain so added a couple more to fill my bud vase.

Sweet peas - picked two days ago still looking gorgeous.

Scabiosa is finally in bloom! I started it from seed last fall in the GH and have been waiting very impatiently. Accompanied by ammi, feverfew, sweet pea, and oregano.

Lovely! That scabious is a stunner - do you know what variety it is? Is it an annual or perennial?
