Today's haul was an IKEA highbacked desk chair and a glass monitor riser, a bag of fiction and another bag of vegetarian and healthy eating books.
Out - one book. (where's that embarrassed smiley?).
The book is "Where the Crawdad's Sing" and its being passed around the group. I was the 3rd to read it, today it went to the 4th. It worth reading if you like something a bit different.

I love on a Saturday or Sunday morning some grilled sausages, fried cold potato slices, some white and black pudding and tinned spaghetti for breakfast, with lovely buttermilk brown bread to dip in the sauce.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Fortunately, I've rehomed all the spaghetti so don't feel obliged to try Can's breakfast.Wink
Yesterday, I collected 5 Biographies (including Fred Dibnah, Ranulph Fiennes and Clarrisa Dickson Wright - all interesting people) & 2 plastic storage boxes and delivered the Batman keyring with his friend Ermintrude the Cow torch to their new home.
Today, I've picked up lots of dog treats,, including a Christmas stocking and some pig's ears that Can might like with his spaghetti, and some dog coats (Santa jumper with hat, Adidas hoodie and a fur lined waterproof coat which are all far too small for my pups). They'll be re-gifted.
Also giving away some pinky purple wellies and some genuine crocs that I've been given but are too small.

You see, I do part with things sometimes. Wink

You must admit its a rare event though Veggie Big Grin.

I made a pledge before Christmas that every time I go in the loft I must bring something down to either recycle or throw out. I'm not doing too well. To date I've only thrown away some old ringbinders and brought down some 20 yr old papers for sorting (they're still sitting on the chair waiting to be sorted for shredding but I'm not sure why such old papers need shredding) Smile

That’s a great idea JJB, my attic is full of crap and needs getting rid of, I think I will adopt your approach.

I haven't looked in my attic for about 2 years but I know its full of useful stuff I can't possible part with. For example some suitcases full of office type clothes that I hope never to wear again, my wedding dress that I'll definitely never wear again, mementoes from foreign travels, a box of special occasion cards, all the letters I sent to my parents when I was in Australia, a cardboard box marked "Tortoises in hibernation" (not real ones), the research papers for my degree, some garden chairs, demi johns .............
To be honest, I'm not happy going up the loft ladder and its a struggle to bring anything back down, whilst negotiating the ladder. Its a 2 person job but nobody but me knows where different items are stored. Its no good asking someone to fetch my ***** because they wouldn't have a clue where to start.
At worst its clutter, at best its extra roof insulation. Big Grin

My loft is easily accessible merely because P has a model train layout up there which became abandoned because the summer heat buckled the track. It now serves as a useful 'put places' but you have to be careful of the wiring. Masses of useful stuff, overflow for mouseproof consumables, loads of lego, clothes, wedding dress (no way can I get into that!)spares of absolutely anything, papers, 45's, you name it I could probably find it in the loft Smile

I'm not much or a hoarder - actually I don't argue with the OH on many things but this is a big one. I throw things out. I hate clutter and "stuff" it fries my brain.

My wedding dress and beautiful shoes went to a charity shop many moons ago. I don't intend getting married again and I won't be wearing it again either...I'm not very sentimental and the only things in the attic are things the OH wants to keep - kids toys that are too good to go- or stuff we use, suitcases, Xmas stuff. I can get into mine without a ladder Wink

That said - my Christmas tree is still up, complete with lights because it's still beautifully green. Smile

VC! You must know me by now - most of my Christmas decs are foliage. I've one large box of baubles for the tree - and another for the lights. My boys bought a bauble each every Christmas and I love a Christmas shop Wink each one is special and it gets to be seen every year.
