Evening all
Its been a nice Autumnal day today so after walking Kato I actually got round to doing summat with the campervan. Went to start it and the battery was flat so after rigging up my electrical extension and battery charger I managed to get enough life in it to fire up. I left it ticking over to further charge the battery while I worked on camper cupboards.
My sister said she had a double gas camping hob which she no longer needed so I scrounged that off her. She landed down later with the gas bottle to go wth it, so thats sorted, bless her.
There was a small round stainless steel sink already fitted to camper which I think is too small so I have bought a patterned plastic bowl from a charity shop which will have the drainage hole drilled out and I can use the plug and fitments off the metal sink. I also have a tap operated off 12 volt battery which will finish it off when fitted.
I spent a happy few hours cutting timber and screwing it into position to for an extra eye level cupboard on top of the four cupboards and four draws I fitted earlier. I am sort of making it up as I go along but am quite pleased witht he results so far.
One major job I need to do is take out the television that is fitted as I rarely use the telly in the house, never mind the campervan. I will of course be able to use my chromebook which has a 14 inch screen anyway.
I've had a plate full of chicken wings, half coated with honey, soy sauce and sesame seeds and with it a plate full of calabrese as well, so I am satiated and just waiting for bed time now!

Don't forget to leave room for your bed, Vinny!
Its been another damp and murky day and I haven't achieved much outside apart from cleaning out the chooks' house.
Turned a load of yellow peas into mushy peas and some soup. Cooked 2 bags of ready-sliced red onions (25p in Morries) and boxed them up for the freezer. Instant fried onions for whenever the fancy takes me!
Hope the weather's better tomorrow!

Morning all
Another dour looking day. Wellies or boots when walking Kato in soggy woods? I'll stick wint b-yets as my Dad used to call them being a Durhamite born and bred.He always had the tops turned down like Compo in Last of the Summer Wine for some reason? Wellies look a bit daft when you are wearing shorts anyway!
I had planned to get the chainsaw out and hack away at scrounged wood I have stashed hidden behind the hut at top of garden today but I'll have to see how bad the rain gets as I don't fancy getting drenched.
Fishy Friday today as well so I have a couple of cod fillets in fridge but don't know what to have with them? Stir fry, salad or rice just don't seem right? Trying to keep away from carbs but fish n chips sounds good to me especially as I can use my home grown spuds!
Decisions, decisions?

No fishy friday for me, but thank goodness it is Friday
I'm not planning a huge amount for tonight, other than a massaman curry for tea. I got loads of massaman paste cheap from yankeebundles.com, as well as 10kg of pasta sheets for £8 lol Have a look - not only cheap yankee candles, but loads of other stuff too.
Tomorrow we're going for a detective adventure called The Ripper - it's a self led event in Grimsby where we follow instructions on an app that will take us around a 'Who dunnit' quest and we need to try to figure out exactly that.. who did it. I'm looking forward to it
Sunday is all about going to see family, but I'm hoping I'll have a moment to go get some more horse muck

Just back from a cracking session of Rockfit with some new tunes added and quite a few new punters. The problem is all the calories I burned I have just put back on by sitting by the woodburner and drinking a nice cool bottle of cider! I don't normally drink but I alaways have a bottle of cider (for cooking pork) and a bottle of beer (for cooking beef) in the fridge.Pork will just have to do without this week!
What makes it better is that I spent this morning breaking up a chest of drawers into pieces big enough for woodburner. So heating for free for a couple of days.
Helen and I always wanted a woodburner so you could pay as you go and if push came to shove and times were hard, you could burn the furniture! This is the first time I have put it into practice even though time are not hard, I am just downsizing.
I could really fancy a single room Bothy or failng that a tiny home, probably on wheels! Two things that I couldn't do without though are my computer and phone. No electricity would be needed as I would be quite happy with a paraffin/meths lamps and a small generator to charge my appliances. An outdoor toilet would suffice with a woodburner being my only heat and cooking source. I have a three bedroom semi at the mo which with only me and Kato to cater for is far to big.
It must be this cider thats making me ramble so I will shut up now!

Morning all
Aplologies as this seems to be turning into a personal Vinny thread at the mo!
Rockfit last night and Rockfit later this morning. Problem is I never do things half assed and should really cut back from four times a week at varius venues to possibly twice a week? I do draw the line at Bellyfit and Pole dancing classes though!
Anyway, need to do a bit of shopping later and a trip to allotment could be on the cards.

You always have been a chatterbox, Vinny.
If you enjoy Rockfit, go for it as many times as you like. If it ceases to be fun, stop. As a favour, could you try Bellyfit as we'd like another photo of you.
As for my day, I can see a patch of blue sky so may manage some time in the garden. Must post a letter today too - the contract for the sale of my woodland came yesterday for me to sign. I had to find a witness to my signature and tried 2 neighbours' houses and neither would answer the door to me. How dare they go out when I need them? They were probably peeping through their net curtains and ducking out of sight!
Have a good day everyone, whatever you're up to!
