Looks like it's going to be a really nice day today.
Looking through the patio window, the sun is shining on next doors trees turning Autumnal. The condensation on the outside of the windows is only marred by the snail trails it shows up.

Talking of snail trails we spotted this baby snail on the outside of our upstairs bedroom window.

On the strength of some money coming in, I've booked a local garage door fitting company to give me a quote for repairing/replacing the garage doors. I was told that " We don't send out smartly dressed salespeople, it'll be Jeff - he's big, scruffy and has a ponytail - he'll also fit your doors for you so he knows what he's doing!". Sounds perfect.
Its getting dark so early now - before 7 pm. Must go and read the chooks their bedtime story and tuck them into bed for the night.!! They were right, Jeff is Big, scruffy with a ponytail. He also has 15 chickens with a camera in their coop so he can watch their antics on his phone! Guess what he showed me. .................and, if you think I can talk for Wales, you need to meet Jeff.
Anyway, you have to have confidence in a man who can look at your old garage door and say "That's an Avon No 2, made about 35 years ago". He should be back next week, provided the doors arrive and I have my orders - "There'll be 4 of us, we all drink coffee, milk, no sugar". Subtle hint there, Jeff.
In other news, there's very little.

Are you going for an automatic opening one. Both neighbours have gone that route and now in their later, more infirm years, its a Godsend. I don't need one yet as I have the garden gnome to get out of the car and open the garage, or open it upon my arrival home. (He doesn't drive - useless entity )

Morning
I’d like to happily announce I’ve just finished a week of dog, horse & chicken babysitting. I found it harder than building a house! 4 horses, 10 dogs, no idea how many chickens! Think I’m going to have to admit I can’t do the things I used to . Very pleased it’s been a week off from the build. It would of killed me to do both ! Just had a long hot bath. So I no longer smell like a horse or a kennel . I’m now back into full building mode .
Builder that would like to go play in the garden.

I sprayed my dog this morning with deodorant as he reeks of 'wet dog'. I wonder whether you can get doggy deodorant? if so I need to get some. He is always on the leash so hasn't been rolling in anything and the towel I dry him off with, along with his leash smells of wet dog also. I have to wash his towel after every use.
I've left him in the living room with scented candles dotted around and I have retired to the back room and am presently sitting hugging the woodburner. I refuse to put the heating on and its like temperate zones in the house, back room is toasty and front room suits a Siberian Husky as its like a fridge!

My neighbour has automatic drive gates and he has so many problems with them that I'm avoiding anything "automatic". Never put the cars in the garage anyway - they're too full of freezers, jamjars, tools and junk.
