		Does anybody grow gherkins ?, my wife bought seeds and I grew some, getting these monsters. No idea what to do with them. Should they get to this size and turn yellow or have I left them on the plant to long ?    
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

		You should have picked them green. Once they turn yellow they're setting seed.

		Re gherkins,  the Americans sweet pickle them with dill. I  remember being amazed in the 60s as a child going to a corner store in Maine and finding a huge barrel of pickled gherkins (almost as big as me) for customers to PYO, also facinated by the ice machine
