Morning, cool with rain today!
When I clicked on here it took me to some of the first posts on this thread and I’ve just realised we haven’t had Neffa on for a while or have I missed her in other threads? Hope all is ok.

Morning All from cloudy but warm SSW.
Jay, I've just checked Neffa's posts - she was last here end of September but I guess her situation is much as it was beginning of September see https://gardenandgossip.org/showthread.php?tid=511
As you say, hope she's OK.

Morning all
It’s a drizzly one here. So playing in the kitchen.
Am I going nuts ? (Rhetorical question ) I thought we had a thread on growing from scraps. Carrot tops, bottom of celery and the like. I can’t remember what it was called or where it was . Sure there was one. Don’t want to start another if it already exists. Any ideas?

I know I've started one but it may have been elsewhere!

Thanks veggie. That’ll do nicely. It didn’t come up when I searched for it.

Well today is just getting better & better.
It cold enough for the fire to be lit, windy & showery. My bank needs a slap. Bobs just come home early, damaged .
But my kitchen is all clean and tidy and I’ve glued my table legs . So it’s not all bad .

There's always a bright side, but sometimes its hidden behind a cloud.
Its too hot here to do much outside - 40+ in the GH, everything's wilting, especially me. The dogs are spread eagled on the kitchen floor, tums touching tiles. I'm tempted to join them but its a bit grubby down there.
I'm drinking mint tea - more refreshing than black coffee.

Its been a busy morning but a lot cooler.
Took Spud and Bess to the Vets for their boosters. I've no idea how Ted is so out of sync with his - but that's typical Ted!
Before I left the dogs were going crazy at the patio doors - there was a tiny little mouse wandering around looking for bird seed. Hearing the commotion he scuttled off and hid in one of my garden clogs! Not sure whether it was the smell but he didn't stay there long! Must remember to give them a shake before putting them on.
Yesterday, the dogs caught a tiny shrew which they proudly brought me. Poor little thing with his long pointy nose which will never twitch again.
Lots of young birds being fed on the feeders and nearby. Lovely to watch.

Didn't venture outside much today - the girl next door was having a Slip and Slide party for her fellow Women's Rugby Club players!! Seems weird to me too.
I declined the invitation to join in - and her partner's invite to go to the pub to get away from the noise. We stayed indoors because I knew that the pups would go crazy if they heard strange voices in the garden. Its been cold anyway so I didn't mind an excuse to stay inside.
There a bit of dampness in the air but still waiting for real rain.
