Have moved my tomato plants from the bathroom window sill to a bed in the poly tunnel. I have potted the gerkin plants into individual pots. I then surrounded them with horticultural fleece, I’ll try post some pics.

Have a fleece top to put on if there is overnight frost.

Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

I also sowed some fresh DFB seeds as the others didn’t germinate. I sowed some nasturtium seeds.

Looking through what should be sowed, I realised I hadn't sowed leeks yet, So sowed some today. Sowed some chives as well.

I resowed some Brandywine tomatoes and busy lizzies both failed to germinate.

I sowed tomatoes, lots of 'em, I was overwhelmed by the sun. I fear I may be a bit previous but can always sow again later.

Sowed more aubergines just now, since the first batch seems to have failed. I placed an order with Premier Seeds Direct yesterday and they arrived today - if the germination rate is as good as their prices and service, I'll be very happy indeed!

  • Black Beauty (Seedaholic - failed last time)
  • Listada de Gandia
  • Rotonda Bianca Sfumata di Rosa
The last one sounds very fancy, but it just means "round white shaded with pink" in Italian!

Mr E has been learning Italian with Duolingo because we used to go there on holiday a lot during the Before Times - I just pick up random vocabulary from food, art, video games, etc Smile
How much veg and wildlife can I pack into a 6m x 8m garden in suburban Cambridge? Let’s find out!  Smile
