I’m try a chive flower & cider vinegar.
Apparently it’s fantastic on your chips and it tastes like the vinegar from your pickled onions. No harm in giving it a try.
And it looks pretty.

Will the chive flowers not discolour to a horrible brown colour after a short time?⁉️

ohhh, do all we do s just add the flowers straight to vinegar? Does it have to be cider vinegar, we have the spice vinegar from last winters pickles, may have some sweetened ready as well..

I think cider or white vinegar would be best (but I’m just guessing). It’s apparently like pickled onion vinegar when it’s done with a slight pinky colour.

We tried ours on our chips last night for the first time. It really does taste like the vinegar from a pickled onion jar. And it’s a lovely pinky colour
