Week 4 - tried out a new recipe.
Also arranged a meeting with the builder doing our foundations. Never arranged a meeting with a builder before. Very exciting.

Week 4
Tried to bake a proper crispy yet chewy baguette. Chewy? Tick. More work required, and the tray of water leaked out the door, too!

Week 4
Not quite this week's challenge but something I've been doing since Christmas and I wasn't sure whether I could change my habits permanently - I have!!
I've stopped using paper tissues (Kleenex) and switched to using washable fabric ones...................but, they're not your conventional hankies, they're table napkins that I found in a drawer and haven't used for about 20 years.
I'm really pleased with myself, saved money, saved trees and found a use for clutter.

I have overwintered some begonia semperflorens for the first time. I have taken cuttings for summer plants.

Week 5
Today we brought 20 m2 of floor tiles. Never done that before. Had to go to Tobermory to get them. So that’s the first time I’ve left the village this year.

Week 5 for me was going to Splott for a COVID jab.
Splott doesn't have the same magic about it as Tobermory, or Salisbury Cathedral but it is somewhere I haven't been all year so its almost as interesting...........almost.

What will be your first step. Have you got it all planned out with military precision?

What will be your first step. Have you got it all planned out with military precision? Not quite military precision because Bob is involved . First thing will be creating access onto the plot, second thing will be dig a big hole for the foundations.
