haha You absolutely should! If I've ever learnt anything about gardening and cooking is that others often do things better than me, so please do and let me know how to do it well! Smile

Morning folks

We had defrosted courgettes in our lasagne last night and I have to say they were good but a little salty. (Due to our pre freeze prep).

It got me thinking, rather than cover them with salt to draw out the moisture could I put them in the dehydrator before freezing?

I’ve never stored courgettes, because I hate them frozen. I’m going to dehydrate some this year. So no need to freeze as well.
I’ll try to find the link for you.

^^^ No idea^^^.

I made a courgette, potato and cheese soup last summer and froze it. That was OK and I'd do it again.

There’s this one.

Other one Bob found on fb. But you can only see it if you’re a member of the group. I thin it was pretty much the same. But they when into more details of how to use them and rehydrate them.

Thanks SC

So are you suggesting I could for example dehydrate them and use in a lasagne as and when?

Yeah, that’s it. Well that’s what I’m going to do anyway. May need to rehydrate first in water for half an hour or so. Need to do a lot more googling on the subject.

Ok thanks, well I'll buy a couple and test the theory.

If it works it will save me having to eat them every day for a few months later in the yearSmile
