Plants to aid your environment

Willow trees are good for the environment Spec, often used to help land prone to flooding and the root system is very good at stabilising soil on slopes. The catkins are also beneficial to bees and butterflies

We planted 6 yesterday along the edge of my very wet "mini orchard" area in the hope they suck up some water. 
I would like to be able to cut some pussy willow sticks for a bit of added interest when I gift flowers too and looking forward to more wildlife they will attract.
