RE: Soil/ peat improvers - Can the Man - 15-04-2022 Can you section off some of it and try drain it by putting in some pipes and a stone sink ? My neighbours have done that and they grow potatoes in the soft peaty soil. RE: Soil/ peat improvers - SarrissUK - 15-04-2022 How lucky Sand is probably good for drainage. Other than that, I'm guessing it depends on how alkaline or acidic the soil is, whichever you want it to move. RE: Soil/ peat improvers - Small chilli - 15-04-2022 Off the scale acidic RE: Soil/ peat improvers - Spec - 16-04-2022 Drainage, then lots of straw/hay mixed followed by lime RE: Soil/ peat improvers - SarrissUK - 16-04-2022 Yes, lime then, definitely, and lots of it! RE: Soil/ peat improvers - Small chilli - 17-04-2022 Just a quick photo so you can see what I’m trying to drain & improve. [attachment=4645] |
