The red quinoa splits its dark shell during cooking and small white "shoots" emerge. It looks like a mound of germinating seeds. It has more texture than rice - I'm becoming a convert.

Yellow stickered Smoked haddock fish cake with mushy peas made from Hodmedod's Green pea chips (aka dried peas that were broken), seasoned with homemade Oregano and Rosemary salt - more herbs than salt.

Home made burgers tonight - I had one with a bun, and one with two large mushrooms instead of a bun. Lovely!
