How do you do yours?

Bobs dad used to dig a trench. Half fill with grass clippings, then back fill. I’ve always meant to try it but always forget   . I’m giving it a go this year.  As soon as I’ve applied a bucket of midge cream, I’m off to dig the trenches.

Like many people I don’t have much space in my tiny garden for my fruit and veg. 
I thought I’d show a few of my ideas in the hope that it’s gives others a bit of inspiration or encourages them to share their ideas.

The tatties are Charlottes and one per pot. I was pleasantly surprised how many a small pot can hold. 
The shoe storage things have sugar snap peas in because I’m a great believer in what grows up will also grow down. 
The hanging baskets are mixed spicy leaf and mini gem lettuce in one and spinach and radish in the other two.

Has anyone used copper tape? Does it actually work? 
I’m having a bit of trouble with my homemade chilli grow system. It’s all plastic and them little slimy ******* are starting to feast on my Trinidad perfume.

There will not be a tallest category because I’m not being held responsible for you falling off ladders, through greenhouses and breaking you precious tomatoes or your neck,  while trying to measure it     .

I have three trees, Plum, Damson and Greengage. They are in desperate need of pruning to open them up and the Victoria especially is spreading too wide. According to my book, they should not be prunes over winter for fear of infection but should be pruned in the Spring/Summer when they are growing vigorously. The trouble is, if I do them then (now), I risk losing any of the few fruit they might have set. Is this just a bullet I'm going to have to bite?

I've made it! I have changed my username as my old one doesn't really fit with my gardening aspirations. I don't want to be cryptic though, so I'll make it clear who I am in my signature for the next few weeks at least

I sowed some cosmos seeds 2 days ago, put them on the windowsill, and they are coming up already!
