Space saving ideas. - Neffa - 19-05-2020

Like many people I don’t have much space in my tiny garden for my fruit and veg.
I thought I’d show a few of my ideas in the hope that it’s gives others a bit of inspiration or encourages them to share their ideas.

The tatties are Charlottes and one per pot. I was pleasantly surprised how many a small pot can hold.
The shoe storage things have sugar snap peas in because I’m a great believer in what grows up will also grow down.
The hanging baskets are mixed spicy leaf and mini gem lettuce in one and spinach and radish in the other two.

I promise they are the right way up if you click on the pics.

Definitely thinking outside the box, or perhaps the veg patch. Thanks.

Lovely solutions! I love the look of your shoe storage - I've been using a massive version of that from that Swedish furniture store (that annoyingly is closed at the moment) for only £3 or something. The pockets on mine are smaller than yours though, so I do find that they dry out very quickly. I'm repositioning mine into a less sunny spot to see if that helps this year Smile

I lined mine with sandwich bags that had a tiny bit of gravel at the bottom then made a couple of holes in the bottom of each.

Here’s my little garden. I know it’s very crammed with everything from a hogitat to a frog pool but I’m sure I could get more in if I tried harder.

Sorry if the pics are not the right way up again but I’ve no idea how to get it sorted.

And more.

You guessed it.
