River is growing fast now    Big Grin .

How’s everyone else’s pumpkins doing?
Mine have germinated - they're not big enough to have names yet.
Mine is female and she's pregnant. Picture tomorrow.
Meet Peg the pregnant Pumpkin, she's a little jaundiced from being confined to a pot for too long but she says she'll be OK soon as her feet are in muck and compost.

Hello Peg . Nice to meet you. You look after that lovely little bump you’ve got  Smile .

River had an accident today and lost a limb  Sad . She had grown about another 4” since yesterday. I even took a photo before the accident because I was so impressed.

I got past her going into the tunnel very carefully but it worked. Something went horribly wrong as I passed on the way out. I don’t know if she caught hold of me or the fish box. Either way there was a horrible snap and the limb was hanging on the floor . So I amputated it while apologising and turning the air blue!! I’m sure she will bounce back. But it’s bloody annoying and heartbreaking!
Poor River, was it her growing point, maybe you could root it and have a River clone.
Its not your fault, SC. Its River's fault for trying to trip you up. I'm sure she'll learn from it and behave better next time you're around.
We're sad, Peg, the pregnant pumpkin has been attacked and/or suffered a miscarriageSad Her little bump was lying alongside her detached. I fear a mouse had a go at it.
I feel you pain JJB. That very upsetting news. Any sign of teeth marks? When you laid little one to rest. Was it firm or soft?
If it was soft it was probably deliberately aborted because it hadn’t been pollinated.

Baby was solid as a rock, I even cooed at it last evening. I'm erring toward mice.  It was a lovely yellow, perhaps appetising to meeces.  I will check for teeth marks later.
