^^^ I spoke too soon. Peg has lost her baby again. She seems healthy enough, perhaps its just not quite her time.
Poor Peg. Maybe she's too young to be a mother?
Oh, darn, JJB. She needs quite a big run up to make the world's most giant pumpkin baby, I'm sure.
I keep pondering the name question. Apparently her name hasn't come to me yet.
Peg's baby went yellow again then mushy. I think I need to talk to her about the birds and the bees, so far I've not seen a daddy on the plant, that could be the problem. I think we might be talking phantom pregnancy here.
Just shows they have individual personalities. Mine is covered in boy flowers and only 2 tiny tiny girl flower buds.
Here’s a progress report on river.

Once she set a fruit. All the runners will be getting cut back to 5 leaves from the main plant.
The most exciting thing is. The runner that snapped off. Just got through on the ground at the side of the tunnel. And it’s rooted

I was wondering what to do with the trailing bits.
Peg is pregnant again, this time with a green baby. I think that bodes well rather than the yellow mushy ones of before. Unfortunately Peg is taking over the garden and making a nuisance of herself. She's getting too friendly with a Buffalo Horn tomato and trying to bully her way over some DFB. I had a word with her about restricting her travels to underneath the sweetcorn, she answered 'where's the fun in that?' And carried on regardless.
Pics might follow.
Rivers first baby has opened its flower. I almost missed it. Now fingers crossed.
