Interesting article I picked out in among all the doom and gloom of the news.

Never been to a seed swap, or partook in one, shame on me! Rolleyes
Me neither Vinny, as far as I know there's never been one near enough. I draw the line at travelling miles for seeds.

Yes, I'll try that. The gigantes beans I have were bought from a supermarket.

I've had a look at Hodmedods who have a lot of interesting beans (Eye of Goat bean!) but
they've sold out of a lot.

I've signed up for their newsletter so hopefully I can order some in autumn.
Garrett, Why don't you ask for some beans from the Incredible Seed Library https://www.facebook.com/groups/52938812...ouncements
They have Czar, Borlotti and Cherokee Trail of Tears in stock and it will only cost you a few stamps. I know you've joined the group already.
I splashed out 8€ on some seeds today having discovered I had no tomato seeds for sun drying, jalapenos for pickling or Cayennes for drying and powdering.
Tomato Mount versuvius, chillies alegira riojana and Jalapeno sweet.
However sophisticated my series of excel spreadsheets and copious lists of what to buy, what to sow and when is all pretty useless if I don't bother to read it!
A bag of Centurion onion sets, 99p in Home Bargains.
I didn't actually buy them but I might have if I'd been there.
I bought those. Yours is a virtual purchase. No one's going to get rich on those though.Smile
Pound Stretcher in town has 50% off everything so I got 100 onion sets 50/50 silver/red.

Would they keep until next year, a quick google suggests not?
Spent £6 on 4 Amaryllis bulbs in lovely red china pots complete with compost.
In my defence they were yellow stickered down from £6 each to £1.50. I admit to walking away from them first, thought about it as I wandered the aisles and decided that it was an OK purchase as they were yellow stickered.

I missed this...but if you haven't got your beans yet I can send you a few varieties.
