We picked the first asparagus last night, a month later than last year and a week or so later than previous years. It has been a cold and very dry spring, so maybe that's why.

Lettuce, rocket, 2 purple radishes, spinach & chard.

Yesterday Kale, rosemary and mint.

This morning some chard to go in a wrap.

Some kale & sprouts side shoots, picked just before flowers about to open .

Yesterday picked some possibly rock hard last year's beetroot. I'll put them in the pressure cooker and hope for the best.

Wonky parsnips.........but still very tasty.

Asparagus (for a quiche) and lettuce. Feels quite summery despite the rain and snow due on Friday
