Any tips Danny?
I feel rather honoured that you've asked me for a tip BrenSmile

The upsidedown planter was layered using cardboard, leaves, manure, spent compost, and grass cuttings. (Not in that order) That's all I've got to offer really.

I did not use any netting.

I was really demotivated given the germination rate however that 1 carrot has made me even more determined for next yearSmile

Thanks Danny I do grow carrots but they turn out very big.
A courgette and a very big courgettte!
Mangetout & haricots. There'll be cucumbers later.
Recently, elephant garlic, gooseberries, blackcurrants, strawberries, onions, spring cabbage. Smile
A couple of days back: boysenberries, blackcurrants, a couple of mangetout, Charlotte potatoes, garlic and elephant garlic. I'm pretty sure the big undivided elephant garlic bulbs were grown from the little bulbils I collected last year. I can't be certain as I was pregnant and extra forgetful about writing down where I planted things.... But the proper elephant garlic is growing elsewhere.
Hi In excess of 800 sweet peas.
Lost count eventually.
Has taken me all day - but what a lovely way to spend a sunny day!
Oh wow, what a display FEW!!
They are gorgeous, FEW. I can smell them from here. (I wish). Big Grin
Thanks Sariss - all ready to go to Market tomorrow. Also got about 200 cornflowers and various other bits and pieces. It’s not the picking that takes the time, but the tying them up.
My little hobby - once a week , sell flowers from the garden. It has turned into my social life too - meeting up with regular customers every Friday.
