Sown some aubrieta
Its Fruits Day. Trying something new with Mangetout! I've sown 5 peas in the same pots as some tomato plants (the ones that are nearly finished). The peas will either scramble up the old tomato plant or I'll cut the tomato down and tie the peas to the cane that is already in place. If it works, it saves time, as the peas will be growing before the toms are finished, saves on compost as I'll be using the same compost, and saves me the hassle of taking down the canes.
Picked and ate some tomatoes and weeded part of the North Strip.

Leaves Day tomorrow.
Its Leaves Day - sown Cut and come again salad leaves, Namenia, Lettuce "Red Fire" & Rocket, approx 2' length of each in a gutter in GH2.
Flowers and Herbs Day tomorrow.
Sowed Clarkia, Calendula, California poppies and cornflower in a new "flower bed" - was a path.
Also sowed another type of Calendula, Cerinthe, Chives and Garlic Chives in modules in GH3.
Sowed Aquadulce Broad beans in modules in the GH.
Sowed Vates Blue Curled kale in modules and Spinach Red KItten for baby leaves in guttering in GH2. Just received 5000 seeds of it from Nutsncones.Big Grin
Sown today
Flowering carrot dara
Sweet rocket
White scabious
Pink scabious
White mallow
Pink mallow
Pink corn cockle.
Dierama, I think the variety is called Blackberry Bells. I originally grew this from seed years ago and noticed some ripe seed heads a couple of weeks ago so thought I'd sow some more as it hasn't clumped up as I'd hoped.

Have to patient with this one, it takes years to flower.
Sowed seven different varieties of auricula and polyanthus in pots to overwinter outside.
Also some achillea and ammi Visnaga.
Chard that should have been sown yesterday - Fordhook Giant and Rainbow. Both sown in a gutter. I'll prick out some for planting elsewhere and use the rest for cut and come again.
