Give me chance - I only planted it yesterday.Smile

I do have some older plants but they're so small and in need of tlc so I scrounged some from a friend with an allotment. My best rhubarb is a Livingstone that fruits throughout the year into autumn. I'd like some more of those.

Mine is very old also and I split and replanted it last year, but it is showing a few small leaves. A bit of a while to go.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Not heard of Livingstone. Then I’m not really an expert in any way when it comes to rhubarb. I’d like a few more varieties to extend the season. To be far my timperley early would be pickable until August but I usually stop end of June. I’ll probably extend the season because I found out last year, I like rhubarb crumble muffins Big Grin  .

Mine needs splitting, but it’s got to wait until it’s moved. I’m on the look out for another tractor tyre. It likes its home in a tractor tyre.

I've one unknown variety which is progressing nicely inside an old dustbin semi forcing it (I forget to put the lid on to force it properly) and four Poultons Pride which are supposed to crop all year and be a bit sweeter. The PP are a few years old now and establishing at last but in the first couple of years they were really susceptible to drought and would wilt if you looked at them. TBH rhubarb is horrid, I only grow it for P. Might give rhubarb crumble muffins a go though.

I sowed 6 Glaskins Perpetual seed last year of which 4 are left in individual pots.

They died right back last year and to date have just broken the surfaceSad

Does that sound normal for rhubarb that young?

As far as I’m aware all rhubarb dies right back.
