We're all jealous of CTM's raised beds this year, not just his polywhatsit. Excellent son, excellent woodwork CTM.

Is that a Grey Fergie I see in the back ground in one of the piccies? I am after one just now,but can't find one on eBay close enough to make it a viable purchase. Has to be petrol or petrol/paraffin as I know nowt about diesel engines. Had one a couple of years ago and have a hankering for summat to play with now..

Hi Vinny, yes it is, it’s a diesel, my father had an old TVO one years ago. We used start it on petrol then switch over to the bigger fuel tank with paraffin and an egg cup or two of petrol mixed into it.

Do you have enough soil/compost to fill the beds? I can't imagine how much you'll need to fill one, never mind all of them.

I had about 1.5 ton that filled the 3 new 2m beds, the older 2 already had soil in them. The 2 5m beds are even higher they are 4 boards high. I’m waiting to get a few tonnes of rough stones to go in the bottom for drainage then I need to order about 5 or 6 ton of topsoil and compost blend for them.

Hope your son will give you a hand filling them, Can. He's done a great job and the covers are amazing.
