Potato experiment

I think I have decided on a little experiment with some first earlies.

Using 3 30ltr pots I am going to put 3 seed potatoes in each with different growing mediums

1 x 50 50 mix straw and normal soil from the plot
1 x well rotted manure
1 x compost from the compost bin

Jazzy is the potato of choice

Anyone tried anything similar?

One of the methods I was going to try was with seaweed but might have difficulty with that as due to shut down I can't travel to the coast

I haven't tried it with well rotted manure but I have tried it with fresh sawdust based horse muck (mainly pee) with some success. I dug a hole a spade deep, popped a tattie in and filled hole with manure. The tatties I harvested (brilliant crop) were the cleanest I have ever grown as they were basically sitting in damp sawdust.
