Really enjoyed that, SC, and Bob's Mill video. Most impressive - great bit of kit.
Am I missing something? I've seen Bob's time-lapse video of moving logs, was there another with Bob milling?

Just watched the milling video. From the number of rings on the logs, the trees were quite old. I watched at a 1/4 speed so I could see better what was happening, very interesting.

When do you hope to start the cladding SC? We’ve had a guess at how many it’ll make. We think about 50.
we still need to get the baton ordered and up first but hopefully we’ll be ordering that this week. Well we better do or …… We got 72 boards out of that log.
The down side to cutting 1” thick boards. This is the sawdust from 2 logs. If you can’t work out how big the bags are. Those 3 bags are sat on a 12ft trailer.

We’ve worked out we need 486 boards to clad the house & garage. That includes the recommended 15% extra for wastage. Have to go and have a count up tomorrow. Think we’re fairly close to 300 already.

More milling today. 50 fence posts 3”x3” think we’ve nearly got enough fence posts now. Also another 33 boards. So just 120 to go.

Don't know whether you read Living Woods magazine but there's an article about a man who has clad his house using his own timber, Thought of you immediately
