Angry Does anyone have any tips on persuading our resident mole to go live somewhere else?!! Parts of the garden are sinking into his mole tunnels!!

I'll swap mine for yours, if that helpsSmile
The dogs listen for them, then pounce and dig a hole. Of course, by the time they've dug the mole is long gone - so I have tunnels, holes and hills!
They have caught a few but, I wish they didn't as the moles are so cute. Smile

Those sonic things work if you can stand the sound they make, or shove something very smelly in the runs and they don’t like it. I have used Spearmint oil with good effect. Another trick is to either use children’s wind mills which vibrate as they turn in the wind or sink beer bottles in the runs and the wind blowing over the top of them makes a noise which scares them off.

As far as I can tell there is absolutely no point in trapping (in a live trap, or by the cat - rather more dead) and removing the little **** because a new one will move in within a few days and immediately undertake massive home improvements and extentions.
They are massively destructive in the veg plot, mostly because the tunnels are used by voles to reach the roots of just about everything.
I hate them. Until I see one - utterly gorgeous Sad

I'm so happy we haven't got moles or voles. I'm touching wood frantically Smile

Tried all of those bar the spearmint, now on the shopping list Smile The last sonic one was useless, so bad it was uprooted by a mole hill!!

The sonic ones didn't work for me either - or my neighbour as he gave it to me to try.
Think I've read that you should put holly leaves in their run to prickle their velvety little noses. Awwww!!

Try sticking a 4ft. cane or stick with a poly bag tied to the top of the cane into the mole run, as the wind catches the bag its supposed to cause it to vibrate, worth a try as it doesn't cost a lot
