Adora tomato

I bought 4 Adora tomatoes from Morrisons last week for 40p (YS of course). They look like a flattened beefsteak tomato with dark brown skin and flesh, slightly sweet but full of flavour.
Can't find out much about them - apart from the usual advertiser's blurb. Seem to have been bred from Marmande tomato but haven't found anything to say that they are F1.
Wondered whether any of you lovely lot have come across them?

I've scraped out a few seeds and will try to grow them. Wish me luck!

Sorry can’t help. Never heard of them. They’re a good looking big tom. Hope your seeds grow true. I see a seed swap in your future  Big Grin Wink . If anyone is going to help with this it’ll be TMTT.

Never heard of it, but see that M&S stock them. If they taste thate good, I might fork out to try one. They're supposed to be 'heirloom' does that also mean OP? Sounds nice though, looking forward to seed swap if you grow them successfully. Don't I remember you saying you don't grow big ones or dark ones? Big Grin

It was bred by HM Clause, a French company. It's apparently a cross between Raf and Black Krim.

They seem pretty good at listing their products as F1 or not - https://productexplorer.hmclause.com/Var...f5323fe06d. If you scroll down this page you can see the listing for Adora - https://www.hmclause.com/foodchain-retail/ - and they don't have F1 next to the name, but the Flamansun tomato next to it does. So this would suggest to me that it's not a hybrid.

Also, a member of a tomato nerd forum I frequent grew it out and it was true to type.

Thanks TMTT. We knew you'd know! Very encouraging.
I scraped the seeds onto compost today so we'll see what happens next.
