Behind the barn...

No, I'm not talking about going smoking hiding from the adults Smile

We have a big barn, and behind it has a flat area that is stony as all hell, and then a few trees and a slope, and that is perfect for my tunnels. It's sheltered from the wind, at least a little, and the ground is much less stony. It's also protected by trees.

The tunnels are normal, round, 3 meters by 6. We will use breeze blocks to build a base to lift them up a bit, and take down the tree that is bang in the middle of where we want the tunnels. The barn is facing east to west, and this spot is on the north side of the barn, but gets plenty of sun in the spring/summer/autumn.

How would you place them?

I loved the video and feel ever so slightly envious but I haven't the foggiest about your polytunnels. Sorry!
What are the options:- Side by side, end to end, V shaped, L-shaped, T-shaped?

Great video. Love the space you have. I wouldn’t put the tunnel between the trees. In summer when they’re in full leaf. They will create a lot of shading. The ideal direction is to have the ends facing north to south so they get the best of the sun. Obviously this isn’t always possible. What beasties do you have over there that are going to devour your plants at any opportunity?

Excellent video Sarriss. You know how we all love to be nosy. You have a stunning place. What did you say you were putting on the concrete hardstanding, I couldn't make out the words? As far as polys are concerned, I haven't a clue. P was very envious of your barn.
